Scott Wharton

Chief Executive Officer, Tandem PV

Scott Wharton is the CEO of Tandem PV. Before joining Tandem, he was Vice President and General Manager of Logitech for Business, a division with roughly $2 billion in annual revenue, and earlier led Logitech’s Video Collaboration group from a small player to more than $1 billion in revenue and global market leadership.

He founded Vidtel, a pioneer in cloud-based video conferencing that was acquired in 2013, and was an early executive at BroadSoft and VocalTec, where he helped develop the first commercial VoIP product and create the cloud PBX market. He holds an MBA from Yale University.

Colin Bailie

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer, Tandem PV

Colin Bailie co-founded Tandem PV after developing the world’s first perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell as a doctoral candidate at Stanford University, where he published the first peer-reviewed studies on the technology. He launched the company as an Activate fellow at Cyclotron Road, the U.S. Department of Energy startup accelerator based at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Bailie holds a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, and was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30.

Rik Wehbring

Rik Wehbring

Managing Director, Planetary Technologies

Rik Wehbring is Managing Director of Planetary Technologies, a venture firm that identifies and builds scalable technologies to help the world move beyond fossil fuels, and an early investor in Tandem PV. An entrepreneur and systems engineer with more than 20 years in Silicon Valley, he has founded multiple companies, including one of the first “garage biology” startups.

For more than a decade he has also run the strategic consulting firm Biodesic with Rob Carlson, advising governments and corporations on the impact of biology on the future. He holds an M.Eng. in electrical engineering and a B.A. in physics with distinction from Cornell University.

Greg Reichow

Partner, Eclipse

Greg Reichow is a Partner at Eclipse, the venture firm that led Tandem PV’s Series A financing, and has spent his career scaling complex hardware from first concept to high-volume production. As Vice President of Production at Tesla, he led the growth of manufacturing from low-volume Roadster production through the fully integrated manufacturing of the Model S and Model X, and earlier led the planning, construction, and production ramp of Tesla’s battery and powertrain manufacturing.

Before Tesla, he was Senior Vice President of Operations at SunPower, where he grew manufacturing operations from pilot scale to more than $2 billion in annual revenue. He also serves on the board of directors of Enovix.

Jennifer Granholm

Jennifer Granholm

Former U.S. Secretary of Energy; Former Governor of Michigan

Jennifer Granholm served as the 16th U.S. Secretary of Energy from 2021 to 2025, where she helped implement historic federal investments in clean energy and domestic manufacturing, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest climate and energy investment in U.S. history.

She previously served two terms as Governor of Michigan, the first woman to hold the office, and before that as Michigan’s Attorney General. She serves on Tandem PV’s board as the company scales advanced solar manufacturing in the United States.
